A few days ago, People Can Fly studio held a presentation of the Outriders role-playing shooter. On it, she told some interesting details, but was mistaken with the technical details of the game on consoles. As it turns out, the project is rendered on Xbox Series S in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, which is quite impressive for a cheap next generation console.
As a result, the studio noted, Outriders is rendered on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. In this case, players on the Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro will have to be content with 4K at 30 frames per second, and Xbox One and PlayStation 4 – FullHD at 30 frames per second.
People Can Fly also gave an interview to VG247, in which she said that Outriders will not have dedicated servers for multiplayer games. The current network structure will be enough for a cooperative passage of three, the developer believes. However, a connection to the servers will be required to exclude cheats. To play Outriders you will need to be logged in to download certain data from the server.
In addition to this, the developer has assured that he will not abandon Outriders immediately after the release. Despite the fact that People Can Fly does not consider the project a game-service, it will receive updates to adjust the balance and improve various aspects. “But if the game becomes more successful and people like it, we will be more than happy to create more adventures – it all depends on how players react to the game and how they feel about the game in general.”– said creative director Bartosz Kmita.
Outriders will be released on consoles and PC on April 1st. A demo is currently available for the game on all platforms, which contains content for approximately three hours of playthrough.
