Private Division and Obsidian Entertainment have released The Outer Worlds RPG update on Xbox and PlayStation, bringing 60fps support to the game on Xbox Series X and PS5.
There was no official message from the developers, but many netizens noticed that patch 1.07 was released for The Outer Worlds with a volume of about 26 GB. Owners of Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 immediately talked about the increased frame rate. It is not yet clear how stable it is. At the same time, the game, apparently, works in the original resolution – 1440p on the Xbox Series X (as on the Xbox One X) and 1080p on the PlayStation 5 (as on the PlayStation 4 Pro).
An Xbox Series S user reported that The Outer Worlds still plays at 30fps.
In addition, update 1.07 includes support for the Murder on Eridanos add-on (which will be released on March 17) and bug fixes.
The Outer Worlds is out on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The game tells about the adventures of a colonist whose ship has been drifting in space for so long that corporations have already mastered the target planets. The hero will have to explore settlements, space stations and other corners of Alcyone, full of mysteries.
