It is possible that with the advent of the next generation flagship mobile processors, Samsung will finally be able to bypass its main competitor, Qualcomm.
We are talking about Exynos 1000 and Snapdragon 875 chips, which will be manufactured using 5-nanometer technology. According to the available information, both processors will receive eight computing cores in a “1 + 3 + 4” configuration, including one “super-core”.
Internet sources report that preliminary tests indicate the superiority of the Exynos 1000 product over the Snapdragon 875. At least, such results are allegedly given by the popular Geekbench benchmark.
The tests were passed by two versions of the future smartphone Samsung Galaxy S21 – with an Exynos 1000 processor and a Snapdragon 875. In the first case, the result was 1302 points in single-core mode and 4250 points in multi-core mode. When using the Qualcomm platform, the result was lower – 1159 and 4090 points, respectively.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 device with a Snapdragon 875 chip was also tested: in the single-core test, the device scored 1102 points, in the multi-core test – 4113 points.
However, the real performance of the Exynos 1000 and Snapdragon 875 can only be talked about after the release of commercial smartphones with these processors and their thorough testing.
