The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is expected to be unveiled on August 5 during the Galaxy Unpacked event. However, one YouTube user somehow managed to get hold of the unannounced device and filmed a video showing its design and functions. The three-minute clip confirmed many of the earlier leaks.
The video shows the version of the Galaxy Watch 3 with a 1.2-inch display in a 41mm case. The rather narrow bezel actually rotates around the screen. The device control buttons have undergone a redesign. In the new incarnation, the wearable device looks more like an ordinary watch, and not Samsung smart devices of previous generations, which will appeal to many users. The device is capable of taking a cardiogram, has 8 GB of internal memory and is protected according to the IP68 standard.
Interestingly, the video was published on July 24 and has already managed to gain more than 100,000 views. Usually corporations react harshly to such leaks and demand the removal of such content, but in this case, for some reason, no measures were taken.
In addition, enthusiasts from XDA-Developers have scrutinized the Samsung smartwatch companion app code in detail and have uncovered a number of interesting details about the upcoming device. Gesture control and fall detection have been confirmed, just like the Apple Watch.
The new Samsung watch is expected to be officially unveiled in just over a week. Then all the details about the long-awaited device will be revealed.
