On the website of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) today appeared a new patent from Samsung, describing some kind of mysterious electronic device. Judging by the published schematic images of the gadget, we are talking about a new fitness bracelet.
Unfortunately, the information in the FCC database says almost nothing about this device. From it you can only understand that the gadget has support for the Bluetooth protocol. The device circuit itself says a little more.
The device is probably a new fitness tracker. This may be indicated by the presence of an element similar to a heart rate sensor. The last time Samsung released a fitness tracker last year. It was a Galaxy Fit model. Perhaps the device referred to in the patent is an updated version of this fitness bracelet.
The appearance of a patent in the FCC database does not necessarily guarantee the speedy release of this device to the market. However, it is highly suspicious that the patent appeared just a month before the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, which will be held on August 5. Within its framework, the company is going to introduce many new devices. Among other things, Samsung announces the new phablets of the Galaxy Note20 series, Galaxy Watch 3 smart watches and foldable smartphones with flexible screens. However, previous rumors and leaks did not say anything about the new fitness bracelet.
Perhaps the company is going to present the device from the patent as a kind of bonus. It remains to wait for the presentation and see for yourself.
