New information has appeared on the Internet about Samsung’s plans to expand the family of Exynos branded processors this year: it is claimed that the South Korean giant will announce at least three chips. The source of the information was the popular blogger Ice universe, who regularly publishes reliable data on the upcoming products from the mobile world.
It is reported that in 2021 the Exynos 8xx, Exynos 12xx and Exynos 22xx series processors will see the light. The first of the named chips may turn out to be a product with the code S5E5515, the preparation of which became known the day before. This is a mid-range solution for 5G smartphones.
The new processor of the Exynos 12xx series is reported for the first time. We are talking about a high-end chip that will most likely be the successor to the Exynos 1080. It will form the basis of highly advanced flagship smartphones.
As for the third new product – Exynos 22xx – this processor is likely to be an Exynos 2200 with high-performance graphics from AMD. The chip will become the “heart” of Samsung’s Windows laptop, which will be released before the end of this year.
Thus, if the disclosed information is true, Samsung will announce Exynos products for all key segments of the mobile market in 2021. An entry-level processor for low-cost smartphones may also be unveiled, but nothing has yet been announced.
