Samyang, which also sells its products under the Rokinon brand name, has released updated versions of its two best-selling lenses: the MF 14 mm f / 2.8 MK2 and the MF 85 mm f / 1.4 MK2.
Updated manual focus lenses have the same optical elements and characteristics as their predecessors (14 elements in 10 groups in the 14 mm model and 9 elements in 7 groups in the 85 mm model), but they add new features designed to provide a smoother and more reliable work.
In particular, now both lenses have weather protection, an updated focus ring for better capture and a switch for smooth adjustment of the aperture level instead of preset fixed values. The f / 2.8 MK2 14mm lens also received a new focus lock switch, ensuring that the settings you set do not go wrong and do not shift during operation.
Both lenses are available for Canon EF, Nikon F, Sony E, Fujifilm X, Canon M and MFT mounts. The new MF 14 mm f / 2.8 MK2 and MF 85 mm f / 1.4 MK2 models will start shipping in early June at recommended prices ranging from 359 to 439 British pounds ($ 438– $ 535), depending on the model and bayonet mount.
