Developers from Cradle Games in the official microblog The studios have announced the imminent release of their sci-fi action movie Hellpoint on next-gen consoles.
An update to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S versions will be released in 2021. At the same time, they promise to make the upgrade free for owners of Hellpoint on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
If you wish, Hellpoint on PS5 and the new Xbox will be available on launch day thanks to backward compatibility technology. In this mode, the developers plan to remove the frame rate limitation through a future patch.
Enhanced specifically for upcoming consoles, versions of Hellpoint will offer improved performance and resolutions, faster downloads, and two graphics modes.
In Performance mode, the game will run on PS5 and Xbox Series X in dynamic 4K at 60 fps, while Quality mode will provide full 4K, but already at 30 fps.
Hellpoint was released in July this year on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Contrary to initial plans, the Nintendo Switch edition will go on sale at a later date.
Since October 26th, Hellpoint has been hosting a Halloween-themed in-game event that gives users access to new themed content. The celebration will run until November 8th.
