Developers from the British studio Rare on the official website and in the new trailer for their pirated online action Sea of Thieves have summed up the 1000 days that have passed since the release of the game.
Sea of Thieves was released on March 20, 2018 and reached the coveted milestone yesterday, December 14, 2020. The initial release took place on PC (Microsoft Store) and Xbox One, and after a little over two years the project made it to Steam.
On the occasion of the impromptu jubilee, Rare shared stats for Sea of Thieves players. All the indicators below are relevant as of December 1 of this year.
In particular, the developers recalled (this became known back in late July) that since the initial release more than 15 million users have joined Sea of Thieves.
In addition, since the release of Sea of Thieves, gamers have managed to:
- Vomit 10,000,000 times;
- Defeat the Kraken 2,700,000 times.
- Hand over stolen captain’s chests 2,100,000 times;
- Land 1 087 778 times on an enemy ship after firing a cannon;
- Become legendary pirates 469,000 times;
- Blind enemies with your vomit 114,000 times
- Kill 1000 Skeleton Captains 17,634 times.
Finally, Rare promised to give everyone who logs in to Sea of Thieves before December 16 at 13:00 Moscow time – with a red M in normal cases and with a gold one if the user plays from the very start of the project.
As a reminder, Sea of Thieves’ journey of reaching 1000 days from the date of release will not end. Already in January 2021, the pirate online action game Rare will switch to a seasonal update format.
