The appearance of the device in the database of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) speaks in favor of the fact that the international version of smart watches Oppo watch almost ready for the announcement.
Recall that the Oppo Watch based on the Snapdragon Wear 2500 processor was introduced in China in March this year. The device is equipped with 1 GB of RAM and a flash drive with a capacity of 8 GB. Smart watches are available in two sizes – 41 mm and 46 mm. Both options received eSIM support. This means that users will be able to connect to mobile networks, including LTE, whose support is also announced here.
In addition, the watch offers GPS and NFC functions, has protection against water (immersion up to 50 m) and is equipped with a touch AMOLED screen with a pixel density of 326 PPI. Oppo Watch uses the Android-based ColorOS Watch as a software shell.
The device appeared in the FCC database under the model number OW19W12. The regulator published not only photos of the appearance of the Oppo Watch smartwatch, but also images of their internal layout. In addition, the pictures show magnetic charging, which is included in the package, as well as user instructions.
Oppo itself has not yet talked about when it is going to present its smart watch for the global market, however, the FCC documents indicate that one of the platforms for selling the product will be the Amazon online store.
