Montreal studio Thunder Lotus Games on their official website has shared details about plans for post-release content for their afterlife adventure Spiritfarer.
As announced, Spiritfarer will receive three portions of free content throughout the year: the first will be available in the spring, the second in the summer, and the last in the fall.
The Spring Update will introduce players to the spirit of Lily, the protagonist’s younger sister, and will bring with it improvements to the co-op mode (redesigned interface and co-op fishing).
With the release of the summer patch, another spirit will appear in Spiritfarer – the neighbor of the protagonist Beverly. In addition, the developers promise additional buildings for construction on the galleon, items to collect and some gameplay improvements.
Autumn content includes two spirits at once – Jackie’s guardian and his patient Daria – and a new island, as well as a certain in-game event, the details of which have not yet been disclosed.
Recall that in Spiritfarer, players take on the role of Stella, who, together with her cat Narcissus, is engaged in transporting the souls of the dead. Users need to make friends with the departed, learn to let go of loved ones and move on.
Spiritfarer is available on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia. As part of the Steam sale that began yesterday, the game is on sale at a 25 percent discount.
