Square Enix will re-release Legend of Mana remaster on PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch

Square Enix has announced an updated version of Legend of Mana for PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. It will be released on June 24th. Pre-orders have already opened on PlayStation Store and Steam, which include bonuses.

The PlayStation 4 pre-order bonus includes 10 avatars and a console theme. On a PC, users will receive desktop wallpapers as a gift. In Japan, Square Enix will also release the Legend of Mana Collector’s Edition for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. It includes a copy of the game, Art of Mana 30th Anniversary Special Issue, soundtrack, and plush toy. The collector’s edition costs 14,300 yen (about 10,000 rubles).

The original Legend of Mana was released on PlayStation in July 1999. The updated version boasts reworked graphics, a redesigned soundtrack (with the ability to switch to the original), switchable random encounters with enemies and the Ring Ring Land minigame, which will be available in the West for the first time.

In the game you have to go in search of the mysterious Mana Tree seen in a dream. The protagonist discovers that the world map is empty. During the adventure, he will acquire special artifacts that can be placed on the map and revive cities and dungeons. Legend of Mana offers different paths depending on the decisions made.
