SSD-cached Asustor Lockerstor storage powered by Intel Celeron

Asustor introduced Lockerstor 2 and Lockerstor 4 NAS for network enterprise-class computing infrastructures.

New items are made on the processor Intel Celeron J4125 generation Gemini Lake Refresh. This chip contains four processing cores without multithreading support with a nominal clock frequency of 2.0 GHz (increases to 2.7 GHz). The basic configuration includes 4 GB of DDR4 RAM, expandable up to 8 GB.

Lockerstor 2 storage (model AS6602T) supports the installation of two drives, Lockerstor 4 version (model AS6604T) – four. Hard drives or solid-state products of size 3.5 / 2.5 inches with SATA 3.0 interface can be used.

Devices can be equipped with two M.2 PCIe (NVMe) 2280 solid-state modules to provide data caching and improve performance.

There are two network ports 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet with a bandwidth of up to 2.5 Gb / s. The data transfer rate can theoretically reach 5 Gb / s in the channel aggregation mode.

Among other things, it is worth highlighting the HDMI 2.0a interface and three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one of which is displayed on the front panel. The equipment includes 8 GB of eMMC flash memory.

Alas, there is no information about the estimated price of storage facilities.
