Rocksteady Studios has unexpectedly announced Suicide Squad, based on the Suicide Squad comics, which features some of the villains of the DC Universe. Nothing is known about the project yet, but Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier talked a little about the announcement.
As you know, WB Games Montreal once worked on a Suicide Squad game, but the project was canceled at the end of 2016. Shortly thereafter, Rocksteady Studios began creating their own version of the game. Despite the fact that it has been in development for more than three years, and most likely there are materials from the WB Games Montreal project, Schreir wrote that you should not expect anything more than a teaser for DC Fandome.
It is currently unknown what the title of the game will be. But recently netizens discovered registered domains SuicideSquadGame.com and SuicideSquadKillTheJusticeLeague.com. The latter may indicate the name of the game – Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. It also matches the official art of the project (above).
The Suicide Squad will launch on August 22 at DC Fandome.
