The first full trailer for the co-op shooter Warhammer 40,000: Darktide from the creators of Vermintide

The announcement for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide was very brief, but the trailer from The Game Awards 2020 more than makes up for fan expectations. The developers from the Fatshark studio, who created the Vermintide series, not only showed the next fragments of the cinematic video, but also demonstrated the gameplay directly.

The video demonstrates all four classes of the future cooperative shooter in action – and here the previous two games of the studio in the Warhammer universe are immediately guessed. A notable major change is, of course, a more pronounced focus on small arms, but to a large extent there is still a lot to fight in melee combat.

It’s unclear if players will be able to specialize in melee or ranged only characters. However, Darktide currently looks quite intriguing for fans of joint bloody skirmishes. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will be released on PC and Xbox Series X and S in 2021, but in the meantime, those who wish can add it to their favorites on the page on Steam.

Let’s remind: the action of Darktide will unfold in the city-hive Tertium. A seed of filth grows in its depths, threatening to turn into a wave of all-consuming darkness. The heretical cult of Admonition seeks to seize power on the planet Atom Prime and destroy its inhabitants. A player with allies from the Inquisition will have to eradicate enemy forces, otherwise the city will fall victim to Chaos. Having the right team and effective communication is the key to victory in the name of the God-Emperor.

Players will play as a prisoner who has become an agent. His goal is to serve the fanatical Inquisitor and exterminate the infection of Chaos. It will be possible to choose a class, customize skills and equipment in accordance with their own style of play, gradually improving it.
