The state corporation Rostec has presented a completely domestic solution that provides the maximum degree of protection of information transmitted from CCTV cameras.
It is noted that a conventional video surveillance system built using standard IP video cameras is available for hacking both from the outside and from the inside. Moreover, attackers can theoretically gain access not only to the data that comes from the camera, but also to the internal information resources of the organization, including classified materials and documents.
The new Russian solution excludes unauthorized access to video surveillance equipment. The system was created by the Scientific and Engineering Center for Technical Security Means (SRC TSO) of the SIBER holding (part of Rostec). The platform complies with the requirements of Federal Law No. 187-FZ “On the Safety of Critical Infrastructure of the Russian Federation”.
The IP camera integrates a special cyber security card with special software, thanks to which all incoming and outgoing traffic is encrypted.
“Today, when video surveillance has penetrated almost all areas of our life, the risk of information leakage is high, and the cost and consequences of its loss can be very serious. It is obvious that the solution that we initially created for use by Rostec organizations will be in demand not only at enterprises of the military-industrial complex, but at any objects of the information infrastructure of the Russian Federation, the functioning of which is critically important for the state economy.“, – say the developers.
