It is expected that soon the Chinese tech giant Huawei will introduce the Honor Play 4 Pro smartphone. This device will be the first device with support for 5G networks in the Honor Play family. Today, the first live photos of the upcoming smartphone have appeared on the Web.
The photo shows the back of the phone. The picture confirms that the device will be equipped with a unit of two cameras, as previously reported. Both lenses and LED flash are placed in a rectangular block, covered with dark glass. Interestingly, below the camera block there is a certain round element that looks like a LiDAR sensor, which is equipped with Apple’s iPad Pro tablet.
LiDAR is a remote sensing technology that uses pulsed laser light to measure the distance to objects. The LiDAR sensor emits laser light and then measures how long it takes for it to return to the sensor.
There is no information on why the sensor can be used in the Honor Play 4 Pro yet. It is likely that it will be used to build three-dimensional models of objects. It is also believed that this is just an infrared temperature measurement sensor.
It is expected that the smartphone will be presented on the third of June. Its estimated cost is still unknown.
