The first smartphone with support for 120-watt charging is expected in August – from Vivo iQOO

With the beginning of the second half of the year, Chinese manufacturers began to announce the next generation fast charging technology. OPPO has confirmed that it will introduce 125-watt Super Flash Charge technology on Wednesday. And Vivo’s rival iQOO brand unexpectedly announced its 120W ultra-fast charging option with a conversion rate of 97%.

iQOO already offers 33, 44 and 55 Watt accelerated charging solutions in its smartphones. At the presentation, the company demonstrated a new technology in action. She promises to charge the battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh in half in 5 minutes, and fully recharge it in 15 minutes.

Phones with ultra-fast 120-W charging will be equipped with Super VC liquid cooling technology to control the internal temperature of the device. The charging adapter has also undergone the necessary changes for the stability and reliability of its operation.

It is reported that the mysterious iQOO phone with ultra-fast charging has already been sent to mass production, and the market will be released next month. Perhaps we are talking about the iQOO Pro 3 5G smartphone with a Snapdragon 865+ processor.

Note that the Chinese company Vivo introduced its 120W FlashCharge technology at the Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2019 exhibition. Apparently, the implementation of this technology will begin with the devices of its more affordable iQOO brand.
