After about a year of hints and rumors, the studio WB Games Montreal yesterday finally presented its superhero action game – Gotham Knights. This is an open-world game in which you have to try on the costumes of four members of the Bat family after Batman died.
Yesterday’s trailers shed a lot of light on what the Gotham Knights are all about. But Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment provided additional details. The most important of these is the action of the Gotham Knights is not set in the Batman: Arkham universe…
In Gotham City, Gotham Knights will have five distinct neighborhoods. Players will be able to use a variety of ways to navigate the city, including those that you may already have seen in Batman: Akrham – a winch that plans a flight and vehicles. For example, in the trailer, Batgirl rode a Batcycle.
Each of the four characters will have their own unique skills, as well as a growing arsenal of weapons and equipment. Batgirl (Barbara Gordon) is a determined fighter and a seasoned hacker, well trained in kickboxing, capoeira and jiu-jitsu, and is also proficient in tonfa. Nightwing (Dick Grayson) is a born leader, the oldest and wisest member of the Bat family. He uses his acrobatic skills and Eskrima sticks to fight enemies.
Red Hood (Jason Todd) is a truly powerful anti-hero. He was killed but resurrected. Jason is distinguished by strength on the verge of human capabilities and skill in a variety of combat techniques with all types of weapons, both traditional and high-tech. Robin (Tim Drake) is a master of deductive thinking. In addition to being armed with a collapsible staff and a master of stealth, he is knowledgeable in the psychology of war and behavioral sciences.
Gotham Knights will be released in 2021 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
