The new Fossil smart watch will do without Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 platform

The company Fossil, which has made a significant contribution to the distribution of the Wear OS operating system for wearable devices, is preparing to release new wrist smart watches, as reported by Internet sources.

Information on the designed smart chronometers appeared in the base of the Bluetooth SIG organization. A total of five models are mentioned: DW11F1, DW11F2, C1NF1, C1CF1 and C1EF1.

Obviously, devices with the codes DW11F and C1xF1 will be modifications of the same gadget. In other words, two new products are being prepared for release, one of which will be released in two versions, and the second in three.

According to preliminary data, the upcoming smart watches will not receive the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 hardware platform, which was officially unveiled less than two weeks ago.

Future timers will presumably inherit the Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor from the current Fossil Gen 5 watch. This product contains four ARM Cortex-A7 cores, a high-performance digital signal processor, and an ultra-low power coprocessor. The platform includes an Adreno 304 graphics accelerator, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless modules.

The novelties, most likely, will be included in the Fossil Gen 6 watch family. There is no information on the timing of the announcement of gadgets.
