The next ASUS gaming smartphone will be called ROG Phone 5

This spring, ASUS is announcing the next generation ROG Phone gaming smartphone: today, Internet sources have published a new piece of information about this powerful device.

Previously, it was suggested that ASUS will move from ROG Phone 3 directly to ROG Phone 5, skipping the fourth version. The fact is that the number “4” in Chinese culture is associated with troubles and failures.

Now the name of the novelty was named by the developer himself: in a message about a three-year partnership between ASUS and Tencent, published on the Weibo network, it is said that the smartphone will be called ROG Phone 5.

Various certification data confirm the characteristics of the device, which were previously disclosed during the leaks. Of course, the gadget will carry on board the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. Power will be provided by a powerful rechargeable battery – 6000 mAh.

The smartphone will receive up to 16 GB of RAM, a 512 GB flash drive, and a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz.

We are talking about the possible preparation of two versions: one of them will receive a regular rear panel, and the second – a cover with a small auxiliary screen.
