AdDuplex continues to track the global distribution of different versions of Windows 10, regularly publishing relevant performance reports. This time, statistics for December 2020 were presented, which indicate that Windows 10 (2004), released last May, continues to be the most popular version of Microsoft’s operating system.
According to published data, Windows 10 (2004) or Windows 10 May 2020 Update as of the end of December 2020 was installed on 40.4% of computers running Windows 10, while a month earlier the distribution rate of this version of the OS was 37.6%.
The second most popular version of the software platform with a market share of 33.2% is Windows 10 (1909) or Windows 10 November 2019 Update. The three leaders are closed by the most current version of Windows 10 (20H2) or Windows 10 October 2020 Update, which was released last fall and has already managed to occupy 13.6%, while a month earlier its share was 9%.
The older Windows 10 (1903) or Windows 10 May 2019 Update is still used on 7.1% of devices. Earlier OS versions took a small market share. Beta versions of the operating system distributed through the Microsoft Insider Program are used on 0.3% of Windows 10 computers.
