GeForce RTX 3070 graphics cards will go on sale this week. They could have done it two weeks earlier, but NVIDIA deliberately postponed its market debut to improve the supply chain. Now representatives of retail chains say that GeForce RTX 3070 video cards will be delivered many times more than GeForce RTX 3080, but this will not radically change anything.
Representatives of the Japanese site AKIBA PC Hotline last weekend conducted a survey of nearby stores about the situation with the availability of GeForce RTX 3070 video cards. On the one hand, the sale of a new model of the Ampere family will still be accompanied by a preliminary distribution of vouchers in an amount that is a multiple of the size of the first batch of video cards. On the other hand, much more GeForce RTX 3070 video cards will be delivered to Japan at the start of sales than in the case of the GeForce RTX 3080 or GeForce RTX 3090.
The Danish store ProShop also does not hide that out of 4330 ordered copies of the GeForce RTX 3070, it will receive no more than 553, and as of the current date it has received only 206 video cards.
VideoCardz adds that the size of the first batch of GeForce RTX 3070 will be measured in the thousands per region. Compared to the older video cards of the GeForce RTX 30 family, which debuted earlier, this will be on average four times more. Distributors are also preparing for the arrival of GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics cards, which will be released no earlier than next month.
