Transcend SSD530K withstands up to 100 thousand write / erase cycles

Transcend has unveiled an industrial-grade 2.5-inch SSD530K solid state drive.

The SSD530K is built around a 96-layer BiCS4 3D NAND Flash. Compared to drives based on BiCS3 NAND, which can only have up to 64 layers of flash memory, the new device
has a significantly higher recording density. The use of SLC-mode allows the drive to withstand up to 100 thousand write / erase cycles, not inferior in this indicator to devices on
based on SLC NAND memory.

Using a SATA III 6Gb / s interface and DDR3 cache, the SSD530K achieves high read and write speeds reaching 560 and 490 respectively.
MB / s. The SSD530K delivers up to 88,000 random file read / write IOPS for 4K data blocks. This reduces load times and provides virtually
immediate system response when working with resource-intensive applications.

The new drive is capable of operating in an extended operating temperature range: from -20 to 75 ° C. Dynamic thermal throttling technology helps maintain
stable performance, preventing overheating, and the use of corner casting technology increases the reliability of components under high thermal stress, vibration loads,
gravitational accelerations and constant cyclic loads. The new industrial drive features built-in LDPC ECC (Low-Density Parity Check) error correction, among others
technologies: Global Wear-Leveling, Garbage Collection, S.M.A.R.T., TRIM, NCQ, allowing to achieve an increase in service life and increase stability when used in built-in and
industrial systems characterized by high demand for data recording.

The 128 GB drive can handle up to 6400 TB of recording.

The proprietary SSD Scope Pro software package has an intuitive interface and allows you to monitor the health of the drive. Among its functions: information about the drive, status
S.M.A.R.T., diagnostic scan, secure data erase, drive health indicator, system cloning and remote monitoring. Solid State Control Center
users can check the status of SSDs in real time, receive notifications and remotely update the firmware, which allows
Carry out maintenance on drives, minimizing downtime.

Transcend’s SSD530K is available in 64GB and 128GB variants and comes with a three-year limited warranty.
