Rostelecom and National Telematic Systems (NTS) have concluded an agreement on the creation of a joint venture that will develop intelligent transport systems in Russia.
Work will be carried out in a number of areas. This, in particular, means of traffic management, as well as systems of dynamic alerts, weather monitoring and monitoring of road conditions. Such solutions will help optimize traffic flows and improve road safety.
In addition, the new structure will develop comprehensive solutions for managing public transport and smart stops – these systems will become part of smart cities.
Finally, the joint venture will create automatic photo and video recording systems for traffic violations and automatic weight and weight control systems.
It is important to note that in the development and implementation of new solutions, preference will be given to the use of domestic equipment and software. The new structure will operate under the Rostelematics brand.
“It is expected that the intellectualization of highways will significantly reduce the number of accidents, reduce the waiting time at traffic lights by 20-30% and reduce the total travel time by 25%“, – say the project participants.
