Sony Interactive Entertainment and development studio Lucid Games have hosted a special edition of the State of Play news show for their online racing action game Destruction AllStars.
The video is seven and a half minutes long and focuses on the main features of Destruction AllStars, including the already covered four multiplayer modes: “Chaos”, “Death”, “Piggy bank” and “Bouncers”.
Destruction AllStars will have three types of vehicles: high-speed, agile and heavy. Cars can and should be broken – the developers want players to break some cars (their own and rivals) and transfer to others.
Left without a car, the heroes (there are 16 of them in the game) will be able to make double jumps, run along the walls and jump away from them, and dodge blows. According to the developers, acrobatics will be just as important as good driving.
There are two types of currencies in Destruction AllStars: AllStars Coins and Destruction Points. The former are earned through gameplay, while the latter can be purchased from the PS Store and earned by participating in regular challenges.
At the same time, Lucid Games assures that purchases made with AllStars coins or destruction points “Needed solely for your self-expression” and do not affect the gameplay.
Destruction AllStars will be released on February 2 this year exclusively on PS5. Within two months of launch, the game will be available to PlayStation Plus subscribers for free download.
