China’s largest controller and SSD maker Longsys has announced the Foresee P800 family of solid state drives suitable for use in desktop and laptop computers.
The devices are made in the M.2 2280 format with dimensions of 22 × 80 mm. It is based on 3D TLC microchips: this technology provides for the storage of three bits of information in one cell. Marvell development controller involved.
Foresee P800 family drives use PCIe Gen3 x4 interface (NVMe 1.3 specification). Thanks to this, high performance indicators are provided. The speed of sequential reading of information reaches 3200 MB / s, the speed of sequential writing is 1900 MB / s. IOPS (input / output operations per second) when reading is up to 200 thousand, while writing – up to 175 thousand.
The series includes three models – with a capacity of 256 and 512 GB, as well as 1 TB. The average declared mean time between failures (MTBF) reaches 1.5 million hours. The drives support S.M.A.R.T. monitoring tools. and TRIM commands that serve to increase life and optimize performance.
A three-year warranty is provided for new items. Unfortunately, there is no information about the estimated price at the moment.
