Warzone and Black Ops Cold War

The next season in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone begins on February 25. A cinematic trailer released for the occasion provides a number of hints about the operatives and arsenal that may appear in the games.

The trailer shows a group of soldiers flying in a helicopter over the jungle of Laos, apparently chasing someone named Naga. It turns out that Naga is a likely villain with dark glasses and a .44 Magnum revolver who is working to deliver the Nova-6 chemical warfare agent to Verdansk. Towards the end of the trailer, Naga hides, and a helicopter with soldiers arrives to destroy the remaining opponents and set off on foot in search of Naga.

Based on previous trailers, it looks like many of the passengers in the helicopter will become operatives that players will be able to select in Season 2. But obviously not all of the new content is shown in the trailer. The developers also showcased several new weapons that are likely to appear in the game.

The first new weapon is the crossbow, which one of the possible operatives uses to destroy the enemy. Then another soldier jumps out of the helicopter, armed with something like an Israeli Galil machine gun. Then several other soldiers are shown with less recognizable, but possibly also new weapons, and, finally, a fighter armed with a multi-barreled machine gun jumps out of the “birdie”.

It is not known if all weapons will enter the game and in what form: the minigun, for example, could become just a new special skill. But Treyarch will probably share more details about Season 2 soon.
