Despite the fact that the year has just begun, WhatsApp developers continue to actively develop the popular messaging service, creating new and improving existing functions. According to the available data, the messenger will receive many interesting improvements over the next 12 months.
According to online sources, the developers are preparing many improvements for WhatsApp, which will affect various functions of the messenger, including voice calls and video calls, backup chat history, contact management, etc. Also, new stickers and fixes for various bugs are expected.
Not without new features, one of which will allow users to join already started group calls (this cannot currently be done). Thus, users will be able to connect to the started calls in case they for some reason could not receive the call at the beginning of the conversation.
The mentioned feature has not yet been announced and is not yet available for testing, but enthusiasts managed to find the mention of it while studying the code of the latest beta versions of WhatsApp mobile applications. It is assumed that users of the messenger on devices running Android and iOS will be able to join already started group calls.
When exactly the developers plan to launch the new feature is still unknown. Obviously, at first it will be tested for some time among users of beta versions of the messenger, and after that it will appear in stable versions of WhatsApp applications.
