Xbox Lockhart mentions discovered in Windows libraries

The game console, codenamed Xbox Lockhart – which is supposed to be called the Xbox Series S in retail – has not yet been officially announced, but there have been rumors about it since 2018. It seems that they were true, since a mention of the device was found in Windows libraries.

how noticed a TitleOS user on Twitter, Xbox Lockhart is directly listed in the Windows libraries, as well as the code names of other Xbox models, including Durango (Xbox One), Scorpio (Xbox One X) and Anaconda (Xbox Series X).

Last month, Windows Central journalist Jez Corden said that developers confirm the existence of Xbox Lockhart and still consider the console when creating games – that is, it has not been canceled by Microsoft. Nevertheless, the company is in no hurry to announce it, because it has not yet reached the final cost of the device and wants to concentrate all its attention on the Xbox Series X.

Also unknown are the specifications of the Xbox Lockhart. In January, an eight-core Zen-based APU developed by AMD was discovered with a clock speed of 3.2 / 4.0 GHz, working with 16 GB of memory (12 GB of RAM and 4 GB of video memory). It is believed that the chip can be designed for the Xbox Series S.

The launch of the Xbox Series X will take place in the pre-holiday period of 2020. Microsoft has not yet announced the price of the console, but you can already familiarize yourself with its characteristics.
