The Chinese company Xiaomi has announced the CR6606 router designed for organizing high-bandwidth wireless Wi-Fi networks in home and office environments.
The novelty complies with the Wi-Fi 6, or IEEE 802.11ax standard. Of course, compatibility with previous generations of Wi-Fi networks is ensured. Operation in the 2.4 and 5 GHz frequency bands is supported.
The claimed bandwidth can theoretically reach 1775 Mbps. The novelty is capable of serving up to 128 simultaneous connections, which allows it to be used in loaded Wi-Fi infrastructures.
The router is equipped with a dual-core processor with a frequency of 880 MHz, 256 MB of memory and four external antennas. The OFDMA technology (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) has been implemented.
The router can be used as a part of mesh networks (Mesh), which provide high-quality wireless coverage of premises or large areas of houses. Moreover, the construction of such infrastructures does not require expensive equipment and cabling.
You can buy the Xiaomi CR6606 router for an estimated price of $ 45.
