Small Business Routes have been added to the web version of Yandex.Map. The tool will help small businesses with their own delivery to build and optimize routes for drivers.
The basic version is free. The logistician adds the addresses you want to visit to the couriers in any order, then clicks the Optimize button and gets a route. You can add up to 50
addresses, select a date and schedule delivery for the day you want, and also send a ready itinerary to the courier’s phone. It will open in the Yandex.Map app.
This year, the company plans to test additional paid features. One of them may be to keep in mind the time interval at which the courier must be at a particular location.
After optimization, travel time is reduced by 15-20%
The Small Business Routes algorithm calculates which route is shorter and takes less time. For best results, it looks through all possible combinations of given places,
given the traffic congestion forecast.
Focuses on companies with few staff or hired drivers. For example, shops, cafes, and dry cleaners that ship orders in a city or multiple areas.
Routes for Small Businesses operate on Yandex.Margutization technologies, a specialized logistics platform launched in 2017. She can both plan routes for
a large number of cars and foot couriers, and track how orders are executed. In addition to distances and traffic congestion, more than 50 parameters can be taken into account in calculations, for example,
cargo dimensions, type of transport, warehouse work schedule. The platform is suitable including large retail chains and online stores, product manufacturers and banks.
