Build Amazing Cloud Connected Apps With Xamarin, Azure, and App Center

Announcing .NET Core 3.0:

Xamarin + Azure + App Center = cross-platform cloud connect mobile apps made easy. In less than 30 minutes you’re going to learn how to add authentication, on & offline data storage, and create a server-less backend to make your terrestrial bound app fly to the clouds!

App Center for Xamarin Developers

James Montemagno shows how, as a Xamarin developer, you can fully automate your Android and iOS release pipeline, including builds, tests, and beta distribution. You’ll also explore how to integrate the App Center SDK to track how your apps and users behave in the wild.

During the webinar, you’ll learn how to:
• Build your apps automatically with every pull request
• Test apps on thousands of real-world devices and 400+ configurations
• Seamlessly distribute passing builds to beta testers
• Monitor production apps for crashes and bugs to prioritize fixes
• Collect mobile analytics and understand your users
• Connect to a cloud backend, adding critical cloud services, like offline data sync, tabular storage, and user authentication, and scaling on-demand

Next Generation Code Push and More | App Center for React Native Developers

Ryan J. Salva and Parashuram N show you how App Center combines the power of CodePush with the lifecycle and cloud services you need to ship high quality apps faster.

During this webinar, you’ll learn how to:
• Connect existing GitHub repos to App Center
• Set up automatic builds with every pull request
• Use Live Update – the next generation of CodePush – to deploy new features and fixes
• Scale on-demand and add offline data sync, user authentication, and other essential cloud services

Creating your first iOS and Android apps in minutes FREE-Xamarin.Forms 101

Presentation I did at Slalom’s Build Center in Toronto helping people create their first iOS and Android apps for free.
Part 1-
-Explaining why to choose Xamarin Forms for iOS and Android development
-Fundamentals of Xamarin Development
-Getting started with the free MS Visual Studio
-Demo Time
-Extra Resources (Xamarin University, MS App Center, Xamarin Controls Reference)

Part 2 (beginning from 28:00) ( –
– The physical world of Micro controllers- Particle photon (similar to Arduino) with iOS and Android
– The particle build web ide
– Codepen, Downloading the project on Github
– Demo Time (you can’t see the blue light on the device go on and off)

-How to publish the apps on iOS and Android stores?
-How would you use IOT at companies and why is it the future?

Note 1: At 4:05 in the video, we had some new people come in so you can skip from there until 4:30. At 25:00 I try to build it on my phone, but I dont follow up on it.
Note 2: You can connect your android device via USB to your computer, and enable developer mode and you ll be able to build the app on it after selecting it on the list
Note 3: You can connect your iOS device via USB to your computer, and select the device from the list, if that doesnt work or you get errors, message me or google it.

Continuous Integration With App Center Build for Xamarin Apps | The Xamarin Show

This week, James is joined by friend of the show Matthias Wenz, App Center Software Engineer, who shows us the ins and outs of continuous integration with Visual Studio App Center for Xamarin applications. Matthias walks us through setting up full continuous integration for iOS, Android, UWP, and Xamarin.Forms applications to build your apps every time code is pushed to GitHub, VSTS, or Bitbucket. See how easy it is to setup CI with your apps in minutes with Visual Studio App Center.
